Ben Groome is an 8-year member of the PGA of Canada who is currently working on achieving his class “A” status with a specialization in coaching and instruction. Ben studied Golf Facilities and Operations Management at Georgian College where he quickly developed his passion for golf instruction. For the next few years following his time at Georgian College, Ben played on the Vancouver Golf Tour in British Columbia, where he won 3 times in that span. Ben gained the majority of his knowledge base during his time out west from shadowing and learning from some of the most respected teaching professionals in the business.
Growing up as a multi-sport athlete, Ben’s coaching style differs greatly from most traditional golf instructors. Ben places more emphasis on developing dynamic body motion patterns, rather than focusing on specific static positions within the swing. He is able to break down important swing principles and explain them with the upmost simplicity, regardless of the students learning style. Ben’s competitive background is also a huge asset in understanding course management, and handling high pressure situations on the course. By utilizing Trackman radar, and slow motion video analysis he can help to diagnose and correct any mechanical issues with extreme accuracy and efficiency.
